  My name is Cindy Yaller.. I been a member since I was a little girl now I have kids and we love going to the pool. The reason why we love going is because the staff at the pool became my family. But this summer was extremely difficult.. A board member was over heard making fun of my son because he is Gay. As a mother that broke my heart and I held the tears all summer.This pool has amazing and loving members... A handful of the members think it is okay to talk about someone who is Gay. with that being said I was told today it is freedom of speech.Well now the mom speaks out..Some people may question why my family and I go back each summer and the answer is because of the loving staff members that I now call my family.

  The place has changed it's name a while back and it's North Flushing Pool Club and no longer Swim Club. The place is in the process of updating the venue. Best kept secret in Flushing, Queens, NY. Great location and facility for family and friends to go and spend time. No need to fight traffic to go out of your way and drive long distances. It's right here in your backyard! There is a Day Camp as well.
